So when Stacy London and Clinton Kelly, the hosts of TLC’s makeover show What Not to Wear asked the actress to participate in their show, “I said yes!” says Bialik. “I clearly needed help.” Mayim Bialik: They snuck up on me on the street in New York. I hadn’t really seen the show, so actually I wouldn’t have known them were they not coming up to me and surprising me in the middle of the street. I didn’t know who they were! They basically said, “We’re from What Not to Wear and you need a makeover!” Clinton said he’s been watching me in the years since Blossom ended definitely thinking that I needed a makeover.

Mayim Bialik history, Mayim Hoya Bialik (born December 12, 1975) is an American actress. She is best known for her lead role as Blossom Russo in the early-1990s NBC sitcom Blossom. Bialik was born in San Diego, California, to Jewish parents Barry Bialik and Beverly Winkelman. Bialik had a career as a child actress in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1989, Bialik won the Young Artist Award for “Best Young Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Fantasy” for her role in Beaches (1988). She also made a notable guest appearance as Lisa Woodman in MacGyver, appearing in three episodes. Her greatest success came in 1991 when Blossom joined NBC’s Monday night lineup following The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Both shows enjoyed popularity, especially among younger viewers, for the first couple of years of their respective runs. Blossom was canceled in 1995.After more than ten years away from show business, Bialik appeared in the feature film Kalamazoo? released in late 2005. She also appeared in an episode of the HBO comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm as Jodi Funkhouser, the lesbian daughter of a friend of Larry David. Bialik also made guest appearances as a fictionalized version of herself in the series Fat Actress. On April 15, Bialik was in an episode of Bones. She got a style makeover in the season premiere of What Not To Wear, which aired May 29, 2009, on TLC. Bialik has a guest appearance as a Hasidic Jew in an upcoming episode of Saving Grace .She has optioned the Rashi’s Daughters books
